Putting Out the Fire / Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton has a shameful history of burning all of its unsold merchandise.
Now, these irresponsible and greedy practices will come to an end.
Unsold items are not trash.
Fire Sales featuring past collections will have unsold products feeling just as exclusive as the upcoming ones.

Getting the Word Out

Louis Vuitton will announce to the world that it is no longer burning unsold merchandise, and will start to tease  a “Fire Sale” through PR.

The Fire Sale

To give unsold products a new life we are hosting pop-up sales in NYC during Fashion Week featuring merchandise from past collections. Although Louis Vuitton typically shows their collections at Paris Fashion Week, we wanted to give them a presence in the fashion capital of the US.

All of the profits from the Fire Sales will be donated to the Clean Air Task Force, who has been working to reduce air pollution since 1996.

When Fashion Week starts on September 8th, people will start to see the fire truck throughout the city.

This fire truck will travel around the city, carrying Louis Vuitton merchandise from previous collections in new, limited edition boxes. Inside the boxes are notes explaining where the profits of the sale are being donated to.
